#73 The Room Tree, Giant Forest
This very well known tree in Giant Forest has a cavity in its base that can be likened to a one room cabin. It also has a long vertical opening/slit high up on the side of this cavity that could resemble a window. It is 75.8 feet in periphery, 23 feet in diameter level at the high side ground, 19.9 feet in diameter at chest height, and 240 feet tall. It's periphery number does not include root like extensions at the base or that dimension would be larger, however it is certainly large enough to shelter anyone needing a room for the night. My understanding is that a long time ago tours went through the tree via a ladder on the window and the low doorway on the other side.
