Large Sequoia above Loren's Tree, Freeman Creek Grove

This rugged-looking tree is 15.5 feet in diameter level at the high side ground, 15.3 feet DBH, and 188 feet tall. It would seem small from the base dimensions; however, the large burned section of its base is the main reason it doesn't come up much higher in volume.

Another victim of the devastating 2020 Castle Fire this tree is a bare standing stick now.  Already quite fire damaged before Castle it had no capability of resisting the recent California megafire.
