Forktop Tree, Kennedy Grove

This tree is 19.5 feet in diameter level at the high side ground, 18.5 feet in diameter at chest height, and its two tops are 257 and 250 feet tall. It is in the upper section of the grove in the Kennedy Meadow watershed and is quite distinctive with its unusual dual top. This grove has many multiple tree groupings, and this upper section of the grove is especially dense in sequoias, a characteristic noted by Dwight Willard decades ago and still true today.
