The King Arthur Tree is 33 feet in diameter at the ground, 23 feet diameter at chest height, and 270 feet tall. Wendell Flint and a couple of other sequoia hunters first noticed it in 1978 and then measured it in 1985. Flint also found two other large trees above it; however, due to the grove's inaccessibility, he never got back to measure and catalogue those. (The Floyd Otter and Eric De Groot Trees)
