Peyrone Grove
Peyrone Grove is home to the following big sequoias:
Peyrone's Largest tree
Tusk
This grove is off the Crawford Road below Windy Gap and west of Long Meadow Grove. It has an old dirt road that used to go in to the uppermost extensions of it; however, the road is no longer really driveable no matter how few wheels you reduce your vehicle to. It is barely walkable in places at times. The road takes you to a point where you can just see the grove's highest-elevation sequoias, and from there you will have to wander the trail-less slopes below to see the grove.
Be ready for some steep slopes walking and some dense undergrowth to traverse if you visit the grove.
