#39 Passageway, Giant Forest
The Passageway Tree is 24 feet in diameter at the ground, 22 feet diameter at chest height, and 254 feet tall. This tree was neglected by Wendell Flint and other sequoia hunters, and in Flint's book it's referred to merely as "a large tree." Most likely that's because it is in Giant Forest, where there are so many large trees. It only makes 15th place in this grove of impressive sequoias, whereas in almost any other grove it would be a champion.
