#38 Packsaddle Giant, Packsaddle Grove
The Packsaddle Giant Tree is 34 feet in diameter at the ground, 24 feet diameter at chest height, and 219 feet tall. It is not on a trail of any sort; however, it's not very far from the nearest Jeeping road. It is in the area where the Ghost Tree was discovered by two separate groups in 1885, but they made no mention of the Packsaddle Giant. Flint found and measured it in 1950, and he believed it was first reported in 1879 by a different individual. My last perimeter measurement on it showed a huge 108-foot periphery.

Unfortunately a victim of fire, the giant is deceased post 2021 Windy Fire.
