The King Arthur Tree is 33 feet in diameter at the ground, 23 feet diameter at chest height, and 270 feet tall. Wendell Flint and a couple of other sequoia hunters first noticed it in 1978 and then measured it in 1985. Flint also found two other large trees above it (Floyd Otter and Eric De Groot); however, due to the grove's inaccessibility, he never got back to measure and catalogue those.
