The Forktop tree, Kennedy Grove is 19.5 feet in diameter level at the high side ground, 18.5 feet in diameter at chest height, and both 257 and 250 feet tall, respectively. It is in the upper section of the grove in the Kennedy meadow watershead and is quite distinctive with its unusual top. This grove has many multiple tree groupings and this upper section of the grove is especially dense in sequoias, a characteristic noted by Dwight Willard decades ago and still true.
