#43 Cleveland, Giant Forest
The Cleveland Tree is 25.5 feet in diameter at the ground, nearly 23 feet diameter at chest height, and 251 feet tall. The tree was named in 1902 for President Cleveland by John Broder, a local rancher and subsequently one of the first Giant Forest concessionaires. He was awarded the first contract to provide camping and transportation of guests into the newly formed park.
