#82 Candelabra, Packsaddle Grove
The Candelabra Tree is 24.5 feet in diameter level at the high side ground, 20.5 feet in diameter at chest height, and 180 feet tall. It would be larger in both diameters but for a large burn on the uphill side. It is located a little downstream along the same watercourse as the Packsaddle Giant and Ghost Trees. Flint first noticed it in 1971, then Bill Croft named it the Candelabra Tree in 1978 for the many large branches in its crown.

This tree was a casualty of the Windy Fire in 2021. It stands as a broken off stub. Second pic shows it with the similarly deceased Packsaddle Giant in the background.
