Above Goshawk, Freeman Creek Grove
The Above Goshawk Tree is 20 feet in diameter level at the high side ground and nearly 235 feet tall. It is a large tree, located very close to the largest tree in the grove, but difficult to get to with no trail going to it.
This trees denouement may have arrived in the 2020 Castle Fire. It shows only slight greenery on its devastated top and is unfortunately just inside the completely burned area of the fire. Below is a pic of it from july of 2022. It still has some green leaves but not many and mostly only tenuously connected to the trees bole.
